Meet Matt
My name is Matt Cantona and I am the Owner of Domotica Solutions. I was the kid that would take a computer apart just to see how it works and challenge myself to put it back together again. As I got older, this fascination led me to a career in IT. After pursuing my education in Information Technology Network System Security, I began my career. Quickly realizing that System Security was not the main direction that I enjoyed, I found myself happily settling into more of a helpdesk role. I really enjoyed being able to work with all of the people with different personalities around the office. I was able to see different issues that people were having and I was able to teach people on many different topics to not only help them with their computers in the office, but with their personal computers at home. When IoT devices started to emerge on the market I started paying very close attention. I had always dreamed of having an interactive home ala the Jetsons or Jarvis from Iron Man. I read every article that I could find and watched the technology get bigger and smarter. The more research I did the more curious I became. Eventually some friends of mine decided that they wanted to purchase a few things for their homes. After they fiddled with them for a bit and frustration set in, I would receive a phone call asking for help. Now I am getting first hand experience with making devices work not only individually, but as a whole. That's when things started getting exciting. When Covid 19 hit the world hard and the kids were made to start remote learning I noticed the demand that was being put on my home system. I had to be able to make sure that not only was the internet signal I was receiving to work at home was good, but now my son needed it all for school as well. I have been working with network cable installation for years so I connected a switch to my router and ran cable to the upstairs so we could both work without interrupting each other throughout the day.
